BIM & Construction Workflow

 

Class Description:

This 3-day Construction Workflow class will be taught by industry expert and published author Jason Dodds along with other industry experts

This class will begin with the basics of Autodesk Revit and cover Walls, Floors, Roofs, Families and 2D-3D conversion.

Day 2 will explore Navisworks and cover many of the essential topics: Navigation, File Aggregation, Clash Detection, Reports, and Scheduling.

Day 3 will include essentials of Autodesk Quantity Takeoff and conclude with a discussion on construction specific workflows

This class will use a mix of lecture style instruction, active discussion and live hands on use of Revit, Navisworks and QTO to help you learn easily and quickly.


Materials:

For this training class we will utilize the "Mastering Autodesk Navisworks 2013" book that has been coauthored by the instructor and is widely used around the world as the standard resource and training guide for Navisworks. We will also utilize the "Autodesk Revit Architecture 2013 Essentials" as a reference and resource guide for the Revit training.


prerequisites:

Working knowledge of drafting, design, or architecture design and construction principles. Experience with Microsoft Windows. This training is compatible with Windows XP, Windows 8 and Windows 10. No prior CAD experience required.
