Introduction to Revit Structure

 

Description:

To take full advantage of Building Information Modeling, this Revit Structure  training class has been designed to teach the concepts and principles from building design through construction documentation using Revit Structure. This course is intended to introduce students to the software’s user interface and the basic building components that make Revit a powerful and flexible structural modeling tool.

Topics include:

  • Introduction to Revit Structure

  • Views

  • Revit Structure Design Tools

  • Starting a Structural Project (overlays, foundations)

  • Framing Systems

  • Elevator Shafts, Stairs, and Ramps

  • Annotation, Detailing, and Scheduling

  • Sheets and Printing 

Objective:

The objective of this course is to familiarize you with the tools necessary to create, document, and print your parametric model. This course is 24 hours of material, where the examples and practices are designed to reflect as many different building types as possible.

prerequisites:

This course introduces the fundamental skills in learning Revit Structure. It is highly recommended that students have experience and knowledge in structural design and its terminology.
